Pianist and composer with an abundant career, Jean-Marie Machado has been conducting the Danzas Orchestra since 2006. A protean orchestra, the number of musicians varies from 9 to 18 depending on the project. To date, six programs are in the Danzas Orchestra repertoire: Fiesta Nocturna, La Fête à Boby, Lagrima Latina, Pictures for Orchestra, l’Amour Sorcier et Danzas Sinfonia. Beautiful artistic encounters with traditional singing, song, chamber music and dance. Since this year, a new project has taken shape: Cantos Brujos, a recording version of the music and dance show L’Amour Sorcier.

And in the fall of 2024, an opera project will see the light of day: La Falaise des lendemains, which will bring together 26 artists, musicians and opera singers on stage.

Danzas is an orchestra full of vitality, maturity and inventiveness, with great soloists who play the music of Jean-Marie Machado, who defines himself as a composer of today and claims the heritage of his great masters, classical, jazz, traditional music and world music.
