Eighteen musicians for a collective body that is powerful, beautiful, and wild. Created in 2006 under the artistic direction of Gregoire Gensse, the Very Big (or Toubifri!) forms a big thunderous orchestra, electric, spectacular, moving and subtle.

Definitely ! The only absolute rule is to bring the music to its extreme limits. Based on deep research that is wisely handled, the Very Big is a capricious fusion of aesthetics, an undefinable maelstrom inspired by a multitude of influences from as wide a range as possible, and deeply imprinted by contemporary music.

For the delirium, the tempest and the generosity. The Very Big is an hysterical wall-painting on a color screen, a crash of joy, a dadaist brass-band, where imagination and emotions are brought to the highest level.

The musical lexicon explored by the richness of timbers, and the spatialization and energy of the instruments. In seeking a structure for improvisation, the fusion of genres becomes unclassifiable.
