With NowHere – NoWhere III, the Vienna Improvisers Orchestra is dedicated to the oscillating state in which musicians (can) find themselves: from the immensely focused and conscious presence to the quasi ‘dissolution of the ego’ in being carried away in the music; – a state that is special in the activity as an ensemble, and acquires a quality of its own once again when the music, as with the VIO, is created absolutely in the moment.
