Earlier this month Beats & Pieces Big Band celebrated the release of their new album Good Days with a short run of concerts across England, including two nights at Ronnie Scott’s in London and a triumphant hometown show at Band on the Wall in Manchester. Good Days has received great praise so far, with Jazzwise calling Beats & Pieces « still one of the more adventurous and exhilarating large contemporary jazz ensembles in the UK today » and Bandcamp saying that the band “keep advancing the notion that the future of big band jazz is still being written”.
