Depuis la sortie d’ASTRAL il y a un peu plus de deux ans, l’octet de Le\u00efla Olivesi a donn\u00e9 de nombreux concerts. Le public et les \u00e9quipes des sc\u00e8nes et des festivals o\u00f9 ils ont jou\u00e9 ont \u00e9t\u00e9 si enthousiastes que le groupe a eu envie de continuer cette folle aventure en grand ensemble. Pour m\u00e9moire, ces moments magiques \u00e0 Jazz \u00e0 Crest, Nevers D’jazz Festival, Jazz en Sol Mineur, Jazz \u00e0 St Sat, Bourg en Bresse, St Gilles Croix de Vie, Jazz in Aiacciu, Jazz sous les Pommiers, Jazz et Vin en Double, Pontault Combault, Jazz \u00d4 Moulin, au New Morning, au Th\u00e9\u00e2tre de Caen, \u00e0 Parfum de Jazz….<\/p>\n

Le son de l’Octet a pris une dimension nouvelle. Nourri de ces exp\u00e9riences, il a grandi et a inspir\u00e9 cette nouvelle cr\u00e9ation qui rendent hommage \u00e0 l’Afrique ancestrale, po\u00e9tique et imaginaire des racines de la compositrice. Entre la Mauritanie et la Corse, le d\u00e9sert du Sahara et la m\u00e9moire des peuples mis en esclavage, les po\u00e8mes de L\u00e9opold S\u00e9dar Senghor, David Diop & Djamila Olivesi, African Rhapsody dessine une odyss\u00e9e musicale et po\u00e9tique pleine de surprises.<\/p>\n

Et vous aviez peut-\u00eatre assist\u00e9 l’ann\u00e9e derni\u00e8re \u00e0 la cr\u00e9ation de L’oeuvre Rhapsody in Black \u00e0 la Maison de la Radio ou \u00e0 l’\u00e9glise St Eustache avec le Choeur Philharmonique International, artiste de l’Unesco pour la Paix ? Le plaisir immense d’\u00e9crire pour toutes ces voix a donn\u00e9 envie \u00e0 Le\u00efla Olivesi de poursuivre ce dialogue artistique avec les grands po\u00e8tes de la n\u00e9gritude et d’enregistrer quelques mouvements de la Rhapsody in Black avec l’ensemble vocal Poetic Birds constitu\u00e9 de douze chanteurs d’excellence rassembl\u00e9s autour de Yanis Benabdallah et Yete Queiroz.
