In Spring 2018, Grands Formats launched Think Big!<\/strong>, European network for jazz and improvised music large ensembles, around a dozen ensembles from five different countries : Germany, Portugal, Belgium, Switzerland and the United Kingdoms. In 2024, the network is made up of 25 large ensembles from 12 different countries.<\/p>\n

This network aims at:<\/strong><\/p>\n

> Bringing together artists from all over Europe in a spirit of exchange and solidarity
\n> Developing collective endeavours to strengthen the outreach and visibility of music performed in large ensembles
\n> Encouraging the circulation of artists and new artistic collaborations
\n> Making the voice of artists heard in debates regarding culture at the European level<\/p>\n

The ensembles involved in Think Big! keep in touch throughout the year to exchange information, resources, and develop communication tools to raise awareness for big band music at a European scale. They meet once a year during Jazzahead! conference or other professional events to share on their common projects.<\/p>\n

An annual call for applications<\/a> allows the regular integration of new members.<\/p>\n
